Description

The new generation of Ignis 180XT devices brings a high degree of flexibility. The integrated PFC (Power Factor Correction) technology supports the use of extremely long mains leads of up to 328 ft in length. The operating concept has also become even more intuitive. A 7-segment display makes it possible to quickly read off the parameters that have been configured. In addition, the display is slightly set back and therefore well protected against damage. Easily comprehensible setup settings are a tremendous help in simplifying operations. Long grid leads or voltage fluctuations are no longer a problem with the Ignis 180XT. This robust welding system always provides a stable arc, even with generator-powered operation or over a wide operating range. This makes the Ignis the perfect companion for many tasks, especially on construction sites, private workshops, and for repair and maintenance in industry and agriculture.

Special Benefits

HotStart - To make the electrode easier to ignite, the current at the power source is increased for a fraction of a second during ignition. The HotStart function was specially developed for welding with rutile and Cel electrodes.

SoftStart - The SoftStart function ensures a stable arc at the start of welding and was specially developed for electrodes that are welded with a low welding current (basic electrodes).

TAC - With TAC, one spot is all it takes for tacking, because the pulsed arc sets the two weld pools in motion, making them jump together in next to no time, to make one single weld-pool. The TAC function is also very useful when welding light-gauge sheets without filler metal.

TIG Comfort Stop - At the end of the welding operation, the welding current is switched off automatically if a specific change is made to the arc length. This prevents the arc from being unnecessarily elongated when the TIG welding torch is lifted off the workpiece to end the welding process. This results in a better weld result in the area of the end-crater, as the gas shield is maintained.

PFC (Power Factor Correction) - Enables the use of extremely long power leads with lower losses and improved generator compatibility. This massively expands the action radius of this welder.
